Greenwood Neighborhood Explosion Relief Efforts
In response to the explosion at 85th and Greenwood, The PNA and its business members are creating an action plan to provide relief to the area. We are grateful to be part of a community that quickly steps up to help. We’ll update you as we go along.
Windermere Greenwood and our real estate Brokers were shocked to learn in the early morning hours of March 9th 2016, Three of our neighboring businesses were entirely leveled by a natural gas explosion. Mr. Gyros, Neptune Coffee and QuickStop Mini-Market were completely destroyed. Dozens of other businesses and apartments had windows and doors shattered and additional damage. Our office, luckily, had only minor damage with a few broken lights and shattered picture frames.
Our hearts go out to our neighboring businesses affected by this devastating accident. We will be supporting the Phinney Neighborhood Association relief efforts by donating funds individually and as a PNA member business.
Checks can be made out to Phinney Neighborhood Association with “Greenwood disaster relief” in the memo and sent to:

The annual Phabulous PhinneyWood Pig Out is next Wednesday, Oct. 9th, when you’re encouraged to eat out at one of 30 participating coffee shops & restaurants to help raise money for the Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Hot Meal Program.
The Hot Meal program feeds 150-200 meals three days a week to those in need.
Have a latte & croissant in the morning, a gyro for lunch in the afternoon, and then dinner & drinks in the evening and a portion of each sale will support the Program.
Thirty participating neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops and pubs will donate a portion of their sales on October 9th to the Hot Meal Program. Last year’s Pig Out Event raised more than $5,000. Let’s top that!
