Greenwood Neighborhood Explosion Relief Efforts
In response to the explosion at 85th and Greenwood, The PNA and its business members are creating an action plan to provide relief to the area. We are grateful to be part of a community that quickly steps up to help. We’ll update you as we go along.
Windermere Greenwood and our real estate Brokers were shocked to learn in the early morning hours of March 9th 2016, Three of our neighboring businesses were entirely leveled by a natural gas explosion. Mr. Gyros, Neptune Coffee and QuickStop Mini-Market were completely destroyed. Dozens of other businesses and apartments had windows and doors shattered and additional damage. Our office, luckily, had only minor damage with a few broken lights and shattered picture frames.
Our hearts go out to our neighboring businesses affected by this devastating accident. We will be supporting the Phinney Neighborhood Association relief efforts by donating funds individually and as a PNA member business.
Checks can be made out to Phinney Neighborhood Association with “Greenwood disaster relief” in the memo and sent to:
PNA – Greenwood Relief Fund
6532 Phinney Ave N.
Seattle, WA 98103
We will also support neighborhood fundraising efforts and invite you to help our community rebuild. Please click the link below to learn about events in support of the staff and businesses of Greenwood

2nd Half 2015 Property Taxes Due

Reminder: King County residents who pay their property taxes themselves, rather than through their mortgage lender, should pay their second half of 2015 property taxes by Saturday, October 31st.
King County residents who pay their property taxes themselves, rather than through their mortgage lender, should circle Halloween (Saturday, October 31st) on their calendar. The second half of 2015 property taxes are due on that date.
After October 31, interest charges and penalties will be added to the tax bill. To make the process easier, King County provides several ways for property owners to pay their taxes quickly and conveniently.
Tax payments can be made:
- By mail if postmarked no later than Oct. 31, 2015. Taxpayers should include their tax statement and write the property tax account number on their check or money order. Cash should never be sent through the mail.
- Online using King County’s convenient, secure online eTax application. Taxpayers may pay accounts with a credit card or an electronic debit from a checking account called an “eCheck.”
- In person by Friday, October 30th at the King County Administration Building, Suite 600 – Treasury Operations, located at 500 Fourth Ave. in Seattle. Treasury Operations is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- At King County Community Service Centers if paid by check for the exact amount due. Taxpayers can find the address, phone number, and operating hours of the center in their area by visiting www.kingcounty.gov/CSC.
The online option provides immediate payment confirmation for current year or delinquent year(s) property tax bills. To pay online or view property tax information, taxpayers can visit www.kingcounty.gov/propertytax.
For questions about missing tax statements or other tax payment information, contact King County Treasury Operations online or by calling (206) 296-0923.

Windermere Community Service Day 2015

Today is our annual Community Service Day!
This year, our dedicated Windermere Greenwood real estate brokers volunteered to paint fun and games for the preschool playground at Viewlands Elementary School.
Every year Windermere closes its offices for one day to help make a positive difference in our local communities. It all started in 1984 when a handful of Windermere owners and agents came together to make repairs at a local elementary school. Thirty years and more than one million hours of community service later, we’ve continued this tradition through neighborhood-enhancing projects in the areas where our Windermere teams live, work, and play. Follow our projects online at www.facebook.com/WindermereRealEstate.
